I've seen television footage of Hitler parading about at one his rallies. Not the famous Leni Reifenstahl progaganda film footage, carefully edited, but "live" film footage as originally broadcast on Nazi state run television. Nowhere near as populated an event or as commanding a presence.
I saw the footage in a documentary on television history in 1930s Germany (they televised the 1936 Olympics as well).
We saw the photos of Obama rallies in 2008 how the crowds were roped into certain areas at public appearances so as to maximize the appearance of crowd size.
OTOH, I'm pretty sure that's upwards of 2X of what a certain MLB team was averaging a few years back.
You mean movie theaters, don’t you. Germany didn’t get any television until the 50s or something around that time and that was the Bundesrepublic of West Germany
