Skip to comments.Tea Party Patriots: ‘The largest Tea Party protest since 2010 is tomorrow’
Posted on 06/18/2013 11:49:20 AM PDT by Obama_Is_Sabotaging_America
Conservative activists are planning to storm Capitol Hill on Wednesday for what they are predicting will be the largest Tea Party protest since 2010.
The protest drawing tea partiers like TV host Glenn Beck and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul is in response to the Internal Revenue Services recent admission that it has been specifically targeting conservative groups for extra scrutiny.
The gathering on the West Lawn of the Capitol is being called the Audit the IRS Rally.

Thanks for the short notice.
Boehner is meeting with the Democrat Congressional Hispanic Caucus, in order to sell America into a 3rd world hell hole, and we pick NOW to worry about the F’n IRS? WE DON’T EVEN QUALIFY AS STUPID......
I’ve been to most of these and wish I could go to this one. It’s probably the most important yet because each successive protest gets more serious. It’s like a funnel with sand and we keep pouring more sand and it keeps running out. It seems we`re running out.
1. The Tea Party rally will draw far more protestors than the Obamanation for America gun control rallies; and
2. The Tea Party will get far less media coverage than the Obamanation for America gun control rallies.
Nobama and all his cohorts are having a difficult time grabbing the throat of the real Tea Party, which they thought they were doing when they got the IRS to do its dirty work.
Ain't it a hoot?
3. The Tea Party will get LOTS of coverage by the Secret Service & the IRS. The shade wearing dark suits will be everywhere.
“To find out who your rulers are, simply learn what you are not allowed to criticize” - Voltaire
If it’s like previous Tea Party rallies, the place will be in better shape & cleaner after everyone has left.
3. There will be no violence or demonstrations of racism.
4. The place will be as clean or cleaner than when the events began.
Why can’t we go back to the days when Tea Party folks were called conservatives and the Occupy Wall Street folks were called liberals?
Also in attendance will be the leftist ‘plants’ and the NSA recording their racist rants and the MSM reporting it as ‘fact’
Good point. I guess 0bammy has us right where he wants us.. Distracted.
Drudge has this up from the Daily Caller
"Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States." --Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824.
Nothing is more important than stopping amnesty right now. Future elections won’t matter. Hell, NOTHING political will matter. The Tea Party should be picketing both parties on the Hill. If taxes are Tea Party, what is national bankruptcy??
Don't get your shorts tied in a knot. The push for illegal immigration will be a big point in this rally. Glenn Beck is going to be on it.
You have created a list of some of the many things the Tea Party protests do wrong. If you want to get lots of favourable coverage, and avoid any problems from the “authorities”; you need to pay attention to the protests that do get good coverage.
1. If you don’t have the numbers, just march around in little circles. Have some of your “union goons” or “black blocs” (see costumes, below) herd the media in close for photos — warn them against taking wide-view shots.
2. Violence is good — have lots of it. Start with property damage; and escalate until you get a police response. Then, go into full “victim-mode”, and shout “police state”.
3. How you dress is critically important. Acceptable costumes include: fetish leather — the raunchier the better; the “black bloc” ensemble — black boots, black pants, black shirt, black balaclava; “slut wear” (look up a slut march); union-goon wear — jackets, tee-shirts, caps, etc. emblazoned with union logos; gas masks and hard hats or helmets; anything that hasn’t been laundered recently. Completely unacceptable costumes include: business attire (too “1%er-ish”), anything bearing an American flag — unless worn “ironically”.
4. Your signage is important. Profanity is good — it shows passion. Most important — large heavy handles, that can do double-duty as weapons.
5. Leave your garbage — heck, bring extra to strew about. Nothing proves you were there like a layer of garbage everywhere.
6. Bring plenty of refreshments for the media. Scotch is good. Some pot will get you better coverage in some of the blogs.
7. Megaphones. Plenty of megaphones.
8. Set up some tents for drug injection, rapes, and treating overdoses. (You don’t have to use these tents — but, it’s important that the MSM sees that you’ve thought of the essentials.)
9. No porta-potties.
” Don’t get your shorts tied in a knot.”
Live in Los Angeles for 30 years, and tell me about my shorts. Much of America will resemble L.A. in just a few years, if Boehner sells us out.
RE: The protest drawing tea partiers like TV host Glenn Beck and Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul
Where’s Ted Cruz, Sarah Palin, Michael Lee, Marco Rubio, Allen West, Michelle Bachmann, etc. All of them were supported by the Tea Party.
Yeah, don’t get worked up over 100 million new citizens from third world nations in less than 20 years.
You know, I’m wondering what you get worked up over, if not this.
Go to their residences and harrass them and their families...also do the same to Chuckie Schumer and Al Franken and that old fart from Michigan whatever his name is.
just like they send their union goons to peoples houses and see how they like it
Michelle Bachmann should be there, unless she’s in conference. This could be the start of Palin’s 2016 campaign. Why do I have a feeling she’ll be there?
Rand Paul? Will he be there to appeal to the illegals?
They're lucky they haven't had them burned down yet.
This is one event of two tomorrow, both held at the capital. They are taking turns at the mic.
The other event is Michelle Bachmann’s and Steve King’s and Louis Gohmert’s (et al) event in which a public Lincoln-Douglas style debate will be held from the same stage, ALL ABOUT THE IMMIGRATION BILL DISASTER. The people putting this part of the rally on are those who have challenged Boehner to invoke the Hastert rule. They are going to talk about WHAT IS IN THE BILL FROM THE SENATE. They are going to stand for passing nothing out of the House because it is a trojan horse to get into a sellout conference with the senate.
You have it backwards. Michelle et al have organized this group of members and have called upon the tea party people to come out and support them, and to get all their issues out, too.
Seventy House Republicans have signed up for this stand.
I have no objection to a protest, but the politicians will be making speeches there.
This means emotional wedge speaking that will advance political careers and could fool grassroots conservatives.
The IRS issue is important, but it will be interesting to track the emotional politicians who will address the crowd tomorrow when they vote on amnesty.
A good Tea Party protest to me is one where the politicians see the crowd and hear the grievances, but are not allowed to speak so they (the politicians) can’t play to the crowd.
OVER 90 PERCENT OF THE REPUBLICANS WE HAVE ELECTED AND PHONIES AND I SUSPECT SOME WILL ADDRESS THAT CROWD TOMORROW.
” The IRS issue is important, but it will be interesting to track the emotional politicians who will address the crowd tomorrow when they vote on amnesty.”
exactly. Good point.
OVER 90 PERCENT OF THE REPUBLICANS WE HAVE ELECTED ARE PHONIES AND SOME WILL SPEAK TOMORROW NO DOUBT.
Agreed. But even if amnesty is stopped completely in the legislature, the lawless actions of this Obamination will continue as de facto amnesty - refusing to enforce the laws, opposing any and all election integrity efforts by states, leaving the border wide open and forbidding the guarding of it, etc.
It's already been proven that illegals are voting.
” Agreed. But even if amnesty is stopped completely in the legislature, the lawless actions of this Obamination will continue as de facto amnesty -”
Of course, but it won’t be as bad as legislated amnesty with chain migration. One bullet dodged at a time.
This rally has been in the news for weeks... maybe months. There was a story posted on FR a long time ago about the TP having trouble getting the final permit to hold the rally. “Short notice”? Nope.
Well, I am on several tea party email lists.....nary a word was heard. What can I tell ya? Short notice....yup.
I agree. Although the Tea Party sponsored the rally, there will be dems, reps, independents, black, white ... folks from all over who are not TP members. This scandal crosses party lines.
As for why isn’t Cruz speaking... he was invited but chose not to.
Correction... I just checked the Tea Party website and it has Cruz listed as “expected to attend”.
Mike Lee, Ted Cruz and Michelle Bachman are all listed as “expected to appear”. No mention of the others on the TP website.
Someone, who is going, needs to be a citizen report and put it up on Ustream and tweet it all over the place.. That is what all the protesting kids do.
GUT CHECK HERE.
Who defends the Bill of Rights?
There would not even be a Nation if not for the Bill of Rights.
Sad thing is a majority do not even understand that last statement.
We will get the true story from the UK media.
US MSM is bought and paid for. They don’t want to piss off their brother in law/wife/uncle or sister.
Not if no one knows about it...won’t be all that huge.
We could solve a LOT of the mess we are in if Congress would force itself and the Exec branch to live within the boundary limits of the constitution.
And a big first step might be huge protests in front of the media who won’t get the message out. I guess Congress wont do anything unless they feel the heat of public opinion.
TP patriots actually need to march to Obama guard dog Fx News and demand why Fx has never mentioned Justice John Marshall’s official clarification of Congress’s limited power to lay taxes.
“Congress is not empowered to tax for those purposes which are within the exclusive province of the States.” —Justice John Marshall, Gibbons v. Ogden, 1824
Awesome! I hope some of our folks take this opportunity to practice some civil disobedience. It’s the only thing besides a full scale rebellion that will get the thugocracy’s attention.
Thanks for posting that!
I knew about it a month ago and had plenty of time to make plans to travel from Florida to be there!
