I’ve got a Rugger. No, sorry, just had to laugh when she said Rugger.

"The overall consensus was that 9mm handguns are superior for personal defense because there is less recoil, they allow for accurate follow-up shots and the ammunition is equal to the effectiveness of that of a .45 or .40 caliber pistol."

Anybody else disagree with this statement?

Additionally, the larger the gun, the more velocity of the round. This equates to a more deadly projectile and that is particularly important for home defense purposes. As you would expect with a larger gun, the magazine holds more ammunition – usually between 10 and 18 rounds – as compared to a .380, which while easier to conceal, typically holds fewer rounds.

Did a Star Wars character help write that first sentence? Yoda should have written: "barrel the longer is, the more velocity of the round".

I watched the video for 5 seconds and went directly to the DC article.

Never ceasing to amaze is no mention of extra mags. You cannot keep mags loaded to capacity without cycling them, lest you end up with a gun that jams.

It’s for this reason I’m getting a revolver (e.g., SW 642) and trading my semis for a single threaded barrel model.

I would have recommended the same for her.
