One thing I have learned from studying the Mob (and other criminal syndicates) is that they don’t follow reason. That’s why it was so dangerous to hang around them.

The Mob does not follow reason? Interesting claim. I would have thought they follow a consistent pattern of crime & cover up, fronts, payoffs, etc. Can you provide other examples of such behavior?
