You’re wrong about Mexicans on US government welfare. All they get is public education (which is a huge problem) and food stamps if the kids were born here and they’re below the poverty level. (Usually happens when the father’s construction or day labor dries up due to economy or bad weather.)

You forgot medical attention. Another very large problem as facilities have been closing down in California for years due to those who use ER's for primary care, no questions allowed to be asked.

And I believe if I looked harder I'd find many other costly programs where eligibility isn't contingent upon citizenship status.

You are right on the medical, but that’s also not just about government funding, but medical ethics. Sticky situation.
