The United Nations has long been a cesspool of hostility towards the United States, Israel, and freedom more generally. It is dominated by those who promote and protect our enemies’ interests, while undermining ours. Worse yet, we pay much of the UN’s budget.
Past presidents have responded to this travesty by sending ambassadors to the UN who unapologetically challenged that agenda. In particular, Daniel Patrick Moynihan, Jeanne Kirkpatrick, and John Bolton were proud of our country and tirelessly championed its values.
It is, therefore, a particularly repugnant irony that President Obama wants to entrust Dr. Kirkpatrick’s former post to Samantha Power, a woman who epitomizes the left-wing partisans President Reagan’s ambassador famously characterized as the “Blame America First crowd.”
The contrast between Mr. Obama’s choice and these three former U.S. representatives could hardly be more stark. Prior to joining the Obama administration in 2003, Power compiled a record as a Harvard professor journalist, author, activist, and commentator that reads like a parody of an ivory tower leftist’s reflexive anti-Americanism, Israel-hatred, and infatuation with transnational progressivism.

its too simple..... the UN crowd are OIC. Anything America says or does is contrary to their muslim tyranny agenda, unless they are mooching for donations from the most successful nation on the planet.
Not a surprise. It is simply a reflection of how Obama feels toward the USA. “HIS” people were slaves and persecuted, now it’s payback time.
Obama is a Muslim. They sold slaves.
The irony is that no one in his ancestry was a slave. It’s all smoke and mirrors.
Why should it surprise anyone that our first anti-American President would appoint anti-Americans to influential posts?
Even though Barack Obama may be as anti-American as Samantha Powers, the vast majority of American people don’t know that.
So what will happen when Ms. Powers delivers speeches at the U.N. including anti-American statements? The American public will be angry, and she’ll have to consider apologizing or not apologizing, all the while bringing unwelcome attention to her mentor, Obama, who must agree with her at least to some extent or he wouldn’t have chosen her as his U.N. spokesperson.
The more this woman opens her mouth in public, the worse it will be for Obama, so let the fun begin.
I would agree with you except the press won’t report on her anti-American statements atthe U.N. Unless we change the media, the message will never get out.
Those who cannot see that it is over for this country are absolutely asleep at the wheel. And it’s not simply because a left-wing president will nominate this women for the UN position; nor is it necessarily because the majority of US Senators will vote to confirm her. Rather, it is because a majority of Americans have been so brainwashed that they have voted to elect both this president and those Senators; either knowing that the men and women they elect will act in the way that they do when they get into offices, or not caring enough to learn how they will act. Either way, America loses. And with the universities and high schools churning out more and more liberals every election year, and with the older, conservative Americans dying off, there is no turning back.
From my perspective, Satan is the the driving force behind all of this evil. He is the Prince of this World and he guides the media, Hollywood, the educational system at all levels, and ultimately, the people who are willing to follow his seductive call. Sadly, while the only true defense we have ever had against Satan on this earth was the teachings of the Catholic Church, since the Second Vatican Council, the bishops of His Church, have embraced the heresy of modernism and have abandoned their flock. So while the people of this nation busy themselves watching television shows and sports events (bread and circuses) we are all being scattered like sheep without a shepherd. Predictably, the wolves of Satan are ravaging our souls by the millions.
But fear not; Jesus saw this day coming, and for those of us who cling to the traditional Catholic dogma and refuse to follow the false teachings of modernism, He has promised us that “I myself will shepherd them and have them lay down in peace”. We are at that time in history, and I have serious doubts that anything will be done to reverse it. But those liberal bishops who continue to lead so may astray will pay a dear price, as on the last day God will indeed demand an accounting for our time spent here on this earth.
Power says what Obama thinks.
She’s European by birth and by temperament.Her contempt for the United States comes naturally.
