The Syrian rebels are “cannibals” and should not be given arms, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Sunday.
"I think you will not deny that one does not really need to support the people who not only kill their enemies, but open up their bodies, eat their intestines, in front of the public and cameras," Putin said at a joint press conference in London with British Prime Minister David Cameron.
Putin was referring to video footage posted on the Internet last month of a rebel fighter eating the heart of a government soldier.
"Is it them who you want to supply with weapons?" he said, adding that this behavior does not correspond with international humanitarian norms.
Putin’s comments mark the first time that he has publicly responded to a decision by the United States last week to provide arms for the rebels fighting to oust Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad. Russia is an open supporter of Assad and has indicated that it plans to provide him with advanced missile systems.
The U.S. government announced on Thursday that the Syrian army used chemical weapons against rebel forces on multiple occasions, adding that America will increase the “scope and scale” of its assistance to rebels in Syria in response.

We should not be arming demons from hell who kill Christians.
The thug Russian leader is still arming both Syria and Iran, not to mention a multitude of other terrorist organizations in the world. Heck, according to Alexandr Litvenenko, the former number two man of Al Qaeda was trained by the FSB in the first place. The Russkies just don’t want to lose their proxy state Syria to other blood thirsty killers whom they can’t control.
And on top of everything else, they’re Al Queda.
Once they get tired of slaughtering each other, any arms given them will be turned back on us.

I have seen the pictures of these savages eating the hearts of people they have nurdered and obama is gleefully helping them.
If Bush were doing this the hypocrites on the left would be having a coronary. obama is arming his brotherhood and I hope this will be the biggest scandal of all. obama is leading the party of the antichrist..
Putin keeps telling us to stay outa Syria, but Obama with his big ears isn’t listening.
Hypocrites are only to be condemned for their personal misconduct, not for preaching what they don’t practice. I’ll listen to the hypocrite who tells me that giving arms to cannibals is bad.
If God is on anybody's side as of right now, I'd view it as a safe bet it would be Russias, and I'd trade Bork Obunga for Putin in less than a second. This guy is the best ruler Russia has ever had since Tsar Peter, and Bork Obunga is the worst ruler any nation has had since Nero.

You can say many things about Assad family, but they always knew to behave, and they kept Syria in order. Sometimes you need an SOB that keeps even worse SOBs in check. Do you think prison guards act at work as nice guys? Besides, why would those man-eating AQ animals be promoting democracy? They are fighting for absolute control, and they aren't too shy to kill everyone in their path. What will they do after they conquer Syria? Will they send flowers to Israel, or bombs? Palestinians are bad enough, even though they are isolated. Syria is open to the world; it will become "an unsinkable airplane carrier" to launch missiles at Israel with impunity. Who will Israel bomb after an attack? AQ is not a person, you cannot threaten it with death.
We have elected a sleeper terrorist to the presidency.

Both sides are a pile of horse manure here. There is no good side. The object is to keep them fighting each other ad infinitum, until they wear themselves out and/or one side wins outright or they come to a compromise. That keeps both sides busy fighting each other and thus basically incapable of causing further mischief on the world’s stage.
So arm the insurgents’ side just enough to keep fighting, but not enough to win outright. Same with Assad by Putin. Keep the sides even, and thus infighting, rather than exporting terror elsewhere. We all know Assad is a bad guy dictator, and has blood on his hands, and we all know that if the insurgents win, the ones that will come out on top will not be the secular, democratic types; it will be the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda types. So, fight on Syria, occupy yourselves rather than trying to occupy other places in the world.

I said that he had a point.
We all know that Putin is a sneaky murderer of political opponents, so his objection to arming Syrian rebels is not really based on humanitarian concerns, but on real politic.
Putin is a murderous thug. Don’t confuse purposeful and competent homicide with integrity. The fact that Obama has no integrity does not exonerate Putin from his KGB-learned excesses and his refined measures of political control.
