Ironically, no one pays any attention to what immigration policy should be.It should be only something that helps the US!! Not costs us!

We have laws that protect Cuban refugees from the tyranny that is the Castro rule in Cuba.

That's the way things should be. If you live under a communist regime where people are under threat of a gun 24/7 and you can escape, we should be a bastion of freedom for those who can get here under those circumstances. Illegal immigration that way is correct and the way our forefathers had envisioned the country.

Allowing anyone who can cross our border since they want to smuggle drugs, engage in terrorism or just make a fatter buck is sheer folly.

This is illegal entry and should have been stopped years ago.!!

The world had 7 billion citizens. Perhaps two billion would live here if they could.

How do we deny the best and brightest of even a minuscule percentage of these citizens US citizenship while allowing border crossers amnesty?

Its an insane policy and no one is talking about it.!!!

You are exactly right. Our politicians care more about immigrant rights than protecting the jobs of Americans. If there were a shortage of labor, wages would be going up. Just the opposite is happening. Real wages have been declining for the last 40 years. We have been importing poverty with immigrants (legal and illegal) using our welfare system disproportionately compared to the native born. With 22 million Americans looking for full-time employment, do we really need to give 12 million or more lawbreakers work permits and SSNs and allow them to sponsor 20 to 30 million of their relatives to join them thru chain migration? Or double the size of our guest worker programs that will take jobs away from both the skilled and unskilled in this country?
