On one hand, the kid should show some respect for the cop.

On the other hand the cop is WAY outta line about harassing some kid for his T-Shirt graphics, especially 2nd amendment stuff. The cop should know way better. Search the kid for a gun or knife, OK. Search him for a un-PC T-Shirt? The guy needs to find a real beat.

Even kids have the right to ignore truly stupid cops who make up code sections prohibiting whatever he/she/it arbitrarily and capriciously wants to define as an infraction worthy of an arrest.

Those cops, by definition, slipped through the cracks when satisfying basic psychological requirements for the job, and should be doing something else.
