Suspended and arrested after refusing to change his NRA shirt. Today, 14-year-old Jared Marcum appeared before a judge and was officially charged with obstructing an officer.

"Arrested for disturbing the educational process"?
You mean the process by which kids are indoctrinated to conform to commie-think?
How dare he disturb the Process!
The title only said what it began about.
The report did NOT tell the set of events that led to the police getting involved.
I can surmise the kinds of things that might have taken place, but the report does NOT say what they actually were.
Here, below, is a more complete report on the story (I just went and found) that fills in some of the blanks left out of the Liberty Crier’s report.
I don't see the word "school" in "Boy Who Refused to Take Off NRA Shirt Facing Possibility of 1 Year in Jail".
School can be inferred from the article, but it also has no mention of the dress code.
Boy Who Refused to Take Off NRA Shirt Facing Possibility of 1 Year in Jail
That pretty much sums it up.
It is a lesson in silent compliance in whatever a representative of the state orders you to do.
From your link: “Other students across Logan County wore similar shirts, which display the NRA logo and a hunting rifle, to school in a show of support for 14-year-old Jared Marcum, said his lawyer Ben White.”
If those other students weren’t treated like Jared the school has lost its case.
“Do their cops lapels say SS?”
I don’t know but they are very close to New Jersey where the State Police wear Waffen SS Hats, and the belts with the leather straps that go over one shoulder.
Someone recently posted that they wore “Hugo Boss Nazi Chic.”
It is the summery sentence and it completely covers the bare bones of the case.
I could rant about the fact that the world appears to have gone crazy but that would just be more detail.
I will not state what that mission would be.
“West Virginia USED TO be fiercely independent.”
If that is true, why have they always been “Reliably RAT?” I mean Robert Byrd rode into office on a slave ship before I was born and had to be rolled out of the Senate on a gurney into his grave. Just how “independent” do you think that was?
The only state that approximates that kind of “lifetime leadership,” is Hawaii, which is noting more than a Japanese colony!
“If those other students werent treated like Jared the school has lost its case.”
On that same day, the Monday when Jared returned to school after his suspension, he too wore the T-shirt that supposedly got him his suspension.
Wow you are a jerk.
Well I live here in Jersey but I never get that close to analyse one and do not have a hankerin to do so!
“Did not change the story though”
It did not change the title, it made a fuller report.
Now we know exactly what happened and now we know that on the Monday Jared returned to school following his suspension that he again wore the T-shirt that had allegedly been the cause of his suspension and students across the school district wore their NRA T-shirts that day as well - and all apparently without any suspensions.
The full story of Jared’s suspension and none of the rest of that was in the LibertyCrier’s brief report.
This is another case of a cop with an ego who is pissed off because someone wasn’t afraid of him. There’s at least one of these stories a week about a minor case that got out of hand and if you look closely at all of them it usually boils down to a cop trying to save face when he/she is shown to be ignorant of the law, or is flat out exceeding his authority.
He could have said that NRA stood for “Not Really America” not the gun organization. That would have made him a Liberal hero.
So, you don’t think he should have?
How does charging the teacher and the arresting officers with denial of civil rights under the color of law sound?
That is the only thing that is going to stop this liberal intrusion on civil rights.
