2. The Obama administration forms a reelection campaign entity which cuts a deal with the president of Google and together they set up shop to data mine Americans who post on Facebook or tweet and then brag that their digital mining was deployed in the service of psychologists who, armed with the data, knew how to persuade the yokels. The program was so successful that it helped win the election.
3. The IRS is reported to have completed a multimillion dollar installation of computer facilities which permitted the IRS to data mine the financial dealings, private and business dealings, of every American through credit cards and even by analyzing their hobbies such as yachting or horseracing. This is the same IRS which will be given enforcement powers over Obamacare and will beyond question have access to many more records in that capacity. Finally, this is the same IRS which confesses that it has unlawfully harassed conservative and Tea Party groups because of their political affiliation.
4. The Obama administration has sent operatives to spy on Christian churches to determine if they (its members) are philosophically or politically opposed to the Obama administration in which case the IRS harasses them.
5. Raytheon Corporation contrives a new software which enables it to follow potential criminals everywhere and forecast their activities by analyzing the data it has mined and promptly enters into a joint venture with the government to track criminals-or is it to predict criminality? I have no fear of this one because I know the government, while engaging in profiling, would never profile based on race, ethnicity, or creed.

Only one scandal du jour per jour so we have to wait for tomorrow to find out what's next. Meanwhile we can amuse ourselves contemplating the impenetrable firewalls among all of these government related data dives, undercover investigations, and campaigns of intimidation.
