This is old news. Back when our kids were heading off to college, I found every college had a wink-wink section regarding illegals. Pre-med departments preferred illegals because they are bilingual so were better candiates for internships in inner cities and along the border. Sure, take the limited slots from US citizens. Never mind that closing the borders and deporting would eliminate the vast majority of the problem.
