Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer muscled her way to victory in her crusade for Medicaid expansion Thursday, outmaneuvering conservative opposition to push through a key piece of President Barack Obamas agenda. She not only supported the Medicaid expansion, but took extraordinary measures to push for its passage. Brewer crisscross(ed) the state to promote expansion and shame detractors. This month she started vetoing a stream of unrelated bills to pry her top priority loose from Republicans, and she brought them back into special session. A coalition of moderate Republicans and Democrats sent Brewer a bill on Thursday extending Medicaid to an estimated 300,000 Arizonans,

Republicans in Arizona are buffoons. Brewer was a known RINO for years yet she was re-nominated for Gov. No sooner does Arizona elect the Flake to the Senate than he stabs the country in the back by joining the Amnesty Gang. The Pubbies were outmaneuvered on reapportionment so now the Rats have 5 out of 8 Congress seats in this supposedly Republican state. It is time for conservatives to start wearing sacks on their heads in shame like the old New Orleans Saints fans.

So what’s Jan Brewer done to be blackmailed with. Hmm.

Nicely said.
I can’t go a day without finding something jaw dropping done by a supposed “Conservative”.

What's Jan going to do when the 0 stash - that pays for this - runs out in a couple of years?
She's defended signing this, saying it's a way to "get back" the taxes AZ has paid in...the only problemo is that Fed $$ only covers a few years.

My first thought too.. The NSA sure has been busy getting dirt on people so 0bama can get them to comply with his assault on America!

She has always been a RINO. She only signed 1070 because she knowe she would lose the primary if she didn't. She backed into the Gov gig when Butch Napo skeedadled to Washington. Brewer was Sec. of State and got the job. She should have been shown the door in the primary.

I’m wondering now about all those judges in the ‘birther’ cases who all decided we had no standing.
Including supposedly ‘conservative’ ones.
To: Jane Long
As I understand it, this RINO can’t run for re-election when her current term ends in 2014 so no doubt she figures she’ll just let her successors deal with this despicable political move.

Parts of Perry’s ideas and actions are ‘conservative’. Simply look back at the 2012 debates and you will notice how Romney attacked some of his weak points even though Romney was weak as well.

All I can say is....what happened AZ?
You used to be solid conservative. Now look at you...McShame, McFlake and now, Brewer.
It's the CA folks moving in fault, right?

IMO you cannot trust any politician and keep them on a short leash. Flake feels free to screw conservatives after seeing that the Arizona Pubbie voters would not get rid of Juan McLame in the 2010 primary. That emboldened the rest of the GOP so they think they can walk over their base and not pay a price.
Unfortunately for the USA, they are probably right.

The monies paid back to the states from the gubmint. It's our tax $$, but they distribute it.
The Medicaid expansion *payback/reimbursement* is only for the first couple of years, IIRC...then it's up to each state to cover costs. In essence, they'll be paying twice, according to Jan's fuzzy math.

I heard Brewer on the radio on Wednesday and another RINO today talking about their fellow Republicans who voted no. Brewer said ‘talk about the Party of No’ when discussing the issue. The RINO today wasn't much better. I am embarrassed that such prominent ‘republicans’ would be using Democrat talking points and Alinsky’s rule of ridicule against their own. Not surprising we cannot get any traction in the War to Save America.

I believe Occam’s razor is appropriate here. Given everything going on in the news, the NSA, the IRS, etc., it requires very few assumptions to believe that she’s being blackmailed in the same way that Roberts was.
I wish they’d just come clean and say, “I smoked pot in college,” or what have you, but stand on principle. The people would be far more forgiving if politicians came clean. Covering up a fault is far more damaging than admitting it exists.
I’d bet Petraeus was blackmailed as well.

Romney paid a price since much of the base stayed home giving Obama the election.
