They had highly documented floods last October because a minimal hurricane that could have come ashore on any deserted stretch of beach anywhere, happened to come ashore near NYC, the media capital of the world. Sandy had NOTHING to do with climate. It was a weather event and its course was absolute happenstance.
So if the publicity whore wants to build some flood walls, fine. But Bloomers, don’t pretend it has anything to do with climate.
Any community that undergoes economic damage from flooding tries to build levees, flood walls, whatever. Very, very often, the flooding never happens again. And sometimes it does and the walls help. Ho hum.
