He needs to run as fast as he can and admit that he was wrong to please the GOP; just to save some creditability before the throwing pies begin to come. He just blew it; this was set up long ago for him and he was too dumb to see that. Line with Schumer’s bill, you pay the price. Become McCain’s tool, you’re done. Rube’s immaturity is a real problem, indeed so serious as to disqualify him as a potential president. It strikes me that he’s a very ambitious young man who got carried away with his great initial success and decided to to lead on this issue. In the process the immensely slick shyster Schumer latched onto him, flattered him, and sucked him into this disastrous sponsorship. Indeed, Schumer even managed disastrously to compromise Rube as a potential Republican presidential candidate and Republican leader.
