I'm probably gonna get flamed for this, but I find the “behind the glass” practice between incarcerated mothers and their young children, if the offense is relatively minor and unrelated to child endangerment, a bit medieval and barbaric. How difficult would it be to thoroughly check for contraband and supervise the visit so they can have normal human contact?
