That’s because he’s one of the cool kids, and we’re not.
Not a fan of Frankenstein. But at least he reads the bills put before him. This program has been voted on several times by the entire congress. These guys in DC claiming they did not know are either lying, stupid, or hypocrites.
Franken, who sits on the Senate Judiciary Committee, says he got secret security briefings on the program and he says it prevented unspecified terrorist acts.
I have a high level of confidence that this is used to protect us and I know that it has been successful in preventing terrorism, Franken said.
He said exactly what I would expect a statist to say in defense of warrantless spying on Americans.

Love me! I used to be a comedian in a monkey suit, but then I choose a career that my family is ashamed of.
your friend,
Al (what the heck happened to Davis) Franken”
Someone needs to put a chock in front of this bogus, diversionary boulder, and so Congress can get back the grave issues that have been obviously displaced.
2/08/06: Air America: Al Franken: Franken interviews John Dickerson (excerpt)
Dickerson: But the point is this: you have a source and you make an agreement with that source not to blow their identity. You have to keep that agreement. And the reason you do that, even in a situation where all those people who hate Karl Rove and this White House and want them to be outed, you've got to remember that the same protections that protect the people who came forth about the NSA wiretaps -- and people come forward about things all the time knowing their cover isn't going to get blown. Sometimes it's in an instance people would like because it uncovers an NSA wiretapping scheme they don't think is appropriate, and sometimes it protects people they hate and would like to see run out on a rail. You can't pick and choose.Franken: Is there any distinction, however, between a whistleblower who is outing something that the government is doing which is possibly unconstitutional, and a whistleblower who's outing a whistleblower.
Franken is a communist clown.
So he knew
What did he do to try to stop it?
If Bush were President, he’d be having a tantrum.
Tell me, NO DOUBT about it.
It was obvious to anyone paying attention. The only thing Snowden did was prove it to all the doubters
Sure hope Jason Lewis runs against hom...
That’s right, always remember, Franken just like the
Mullahs, is not speaking of you and me when he says
“us”. When a mullah says “us” he means the Ummah, the
believers. When Franken says us he means the democrat
party.
hom = him.
BTW: jason is off this week, so maybe he’s planning.
This NERD knows NOTHING!! Minnesota should be ASHAMED of themselves for putting this CREEP into a HIGH OFFICE.
Really? I'm afraid I remain skeptical. We have nothing to fear from a rogue gov't that persecutes people because of their religious and political beliefs, unlawfully releases military secrets, IRS data and EPA information for political purposes? Sorry, I agree with Ken Langone -- ths reminds me of 1930s Germany.
(And if I stated my thoughts about Al Franklin, I'd be banned here for life.)
The bunny rabbit in diapers speaks.
