I don't think they know what they're doing. These sellouts are being sold a scenerio how invaders who are legalized will pay taxes and add to the economy. That argument is flat-out wrong, if one just looks at the numbers.

Already, one statistic showed something like 1/2% of the population controlling 38% of wealth in the US. If you take the top 20%, they control almost all wealth in the US. The bottom half have almost nothing left after the recession. What you have is a huge underclass that isn't employed and is becoming unemployable over time. No civilization has survived such a massive imbalance. We've done the Roman/British Empire thing of trying to delay the inevitable by grabbing the whole world's resources...but we still have that underclass.

And what is "immigration reform" going to do? Well, it's going to provide worker competition that will keep wages and opportunities depressed and even further increase the numbers in the underclass.

The numbers don't lie. The US cannot survive as a civilization (I contend that as a civilization we've already fallen) with an even larger underclass, and abandoning those elements of the population that have been unemployed for a few decades.

And what's the solution been? Now, it's morning-after pills for girls of any age, I suspect so the underclass stops producing children. It's creating situations where people won't leave their homes, for fear of safety or disease or whatever. It's creating a situation where most of the population has so much debt it loses freedom of movement.

The numbers don't lie. I suspect these 'pub sellouts don't even realize the implications of adding millions to the underclass. Either that or they believe (as the globalist elitists do) that the population can be managed.

Am I making any sense?

After all that has happened including ObamaCare, the IRS, the NSA and the war zone formerly know as the U.S. southern border, and McCain/Kennedy/Bush, I find that highly unlikely.

You are correct.

It is heresy around here, but you are correct.

I think they do know the implications. They want Big Government and they want Big Business. They want a ruling class and they want to be part of it.

Didn't Sarah Palin say she is pro-market, not pro-business?

I don’t think they know what they’re doing.

What difference does it make?

Agenda Uber Alles.

They know EXACTLY what they are doing...we just don't want to believe it's possible....at some point do you not think Americans need to understand our Representatives are making laws , moving legislature, and positioning the USA for it's role in World Governance?????

Until people understand this, what they are doing will ONLY irritate people...and they are fine dealing with irritated people.

Did not Michelle herself say they would drag us kicking and screaming....but drag they will continue to do despite any outcry....they knew the people would not go willingly.

I agree. Many conservatives react to evidence of growing inequality by digging in their heels and defending the status quo in the name of “capitalism” and “liberty”.

The problem is, we stopped having a capitalist economy years ago. And the sort of liberty envisaged by the country’s founders met its demise many years before that.

Any “conservative” who defends the status quo is inverting priorities. Burke wrote that a healthy civil society “conserves the forms” while welcoming change, given the ancient framework. Like a great museum, the paintings may change but the structure remains the same, and the idea of the structure remains the same.

Many on the right have put priorities exactly backward. They seek to fix the paintings in place while the museum itself is being dismantled.
