I upbraided someone the other day for naming his kid “Magnum” and not expecting trouble. Sheesh, what’s wrong with naming them Dennis, Brian, John, Michael, Kevin—just a normal name, instead of some name that is obviously going to give them trouble.

Obviously you never heard of Jerry Clower and “Marcel Ledbetter” He was a great comedian best known for his stories of the rural South. He was often nicknamed “The Mouth of Mississippi”.
