Air Force 'Notice to Airmen' Warns Them Not to Read NSA Data-Mining and Related Stories

In a story which I can attest is accurate, Gina Loudon at WND.com, formerly WorldNetDaily, reports that the Air Force's 624th Operations Center is warning airmen not to look at the news.

That's not exactly what they're saying, but they might as well be. What the "Notice to Airmen" says is that "Users are not to use AF NIPRNET systems to access the Verizon phone records collection and other related news stories because the action could constitute a Classified Message Incident." It's currently pretty hard to go to a news site without seeing a blurb on a "related story," given how many "related stories" there are which go way beyond Verizon to nine tech companies, 50 other companies, Edward Snowden, White House, congressional and bureaucrats' responses, etc.

The Air Force memo effectively keeps service members from accessing Drudge, the New York Times, the Associated Press, and virtually every other national and international news site's home page for the next several days -- if not weeks and months, at the rate things are going.

[[The NIPR Net is a government owned system. Nobody should be reading the news at work.]]

I woudl imagien soem of the job descriptions in washington and perhaps even hte military, woudl be to scour the news- Certainly it would be required of soem job positions in the guovormnent- and I woudl think it woudl be too for militarty to try to keep pace with what the enemy might be up to, what is beign reported that might affect militray safety etc-

[[It doesn’t matter if the classified information has become public, it is still classified.]]

That is true- technically- but reality states that any material that is made public- even by illegal means, can no logner be classified- Now, the pentagon could have tried to quickly find all the material o nthe web, demand it’s removal, demand news agencies refrain from reporting it etc- and perghaps coudl have contained it quickly enough to prevent it being made public knowledge- however, that certainly hasn’t happened in this case- one would htink the military would be forced to declassify it because it is now publicly known and the calssification title has been violated-

It woudl be akin to someone haviogn a ‘secret recipe’ and that secret gets out and peopel becoem aware of the icnredients- the ‘secret’ is no logner secret- and can’t be claiemd to be secret any longer- to do so woudl be to commit a lie-

I’m not sayign what was doen was right- but it does expose a very seriosu problem that needs to be solved-

People are calling him a ttraitor, however, He did none of this maliciously tryign to endanger others wherreas CBS a few years ago durign the Iraq war maliciously revealed the tactics and whereabouts of our military snipers, and the terrorists were watchign the news ngihtly to find out where the snipers were hidden, and were murderign our soldiers/snipers as a direct result of CBS’s ‘reporting’- CBS was asked to stop reportigtn this and they refused-

Durign Israel’s war in lebanon- CBS AGAIN maliciously reported on the qwhereabouts of Israeli trooops knowing damn well that Hammas was watchign and reporting on where the Red cross was positioned, again, knowing damn well they were purposely endangering soldeirs and aid workers- and again they refused to stop-

What thsi whistle blower did, and what CBS did are entirely different- CBS corporation IS a traitor to this coutnry- Snowdon exposed SERIOUS ILLEGAL issues and activities beign perpetrated our govenrmet

[[This is an attempt to put blinders on dear leader’s KILL SQUADS.]]

This is no different than him goign to colleges and declarign that American citizens are the enemy, and encouraging kids to wage war on us, then tellign htose kids not to watch or listen to fox news and ‘dessenters’ to his socialism- He’s trtying to put blinders on thsoe kids as well

I’ll probably be lenient on me for a first offense.
