University of Chicago (UC) administrators permanently removed pews from an 88-year old chapel on campus in order to accommodate Islamic prayers, according to a local news report.
Chicago NPR affiliate, WBEZ news, reported on May 23, the pews, which are now part of display at the Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) Chicago, were “removed in order to provide Muslim students a place to pray.”
Literature describing the artwork that was created by UC Director of Arts and Public Life Theaster Gates, also describes the removal of the pews as symbol of religious tolerance.
“The pews were recently removed from the chapel in order to offer Muslim students a place to pray, a symbolic gesture of religious tolerance,”

The University of Chicago used to be a Baptist school. I guess the university has lost its way.

Screw them. Islam is not a religion no more than communism, or marxism or such. A religion by nature should improve you individually and your relationship with other humans. This philosophy is based on hate for your fellow man and woman.

Students from Oil-rich Islamic countries pay full boat costs and their governments frequently give large sums for the creation of Islamic study courses. Thus the administrations of many colleges and universities have no problem falling over and spreading their legs.
For myself, it is only toleration if it is a two-way give and take. Right now, it seems we only give and they cheerfully take. This is not a good thing.
All the pews or just a couple of rows.
Not only have the Islamic beasts violated this particular church, but their teachings hold that once a space is worshipped in by muzzies, that becomes sacred Islamic property forever.
