>> I think the Fla voters have figured it out. <<

I doubt it. In 2004 they elected "true conservative, anti-amnesty son of Cuban immigrants" Mel Martinez as their Senator, and then after he "betrayed" them, they elected "true conservative, anti-amnesty son of Cuban immigrants" Marco Rubio as his replacement. They seem to be slow learners.

I presume you are referring to the Mexican race? Mexican is a nationality not a race. They are ethnic mutts just like us.

Rubio knows the Republicans lost the Charlie Crist voters ~ so he's trying to make up for that by appealing to the traditional standard of so many Jews ~ when it comes to hopeless, stateless refugees!

That's the basis of the 'undocumented workers' phraseology ~ it implies that these people have nowhere else to go.

Actually, since the end of WWII the US has worked hard through a variety of formal institutions backed up by treaty agreements to make sure that NO ONE IS WITHOUT CITIZENSHIP SOMEWHERE!

It's been a huge success. Today there's no large group of helpless stateless refugees, and talking about millions of Mexicans that way is just crazy talk.

Rubio loses though. The Charlie Crist voters aren't going to vote for him because he likes Hispanics more than Americans, nor are the Jews going to vote for a fellow whose ancestors probably burned a number of theirs at the stake!

Best bet for Republicans in Florida is get out of ethnic politics and start registering new Republican voters ~ by the hundreds of thousands. Losing about 1.5 million Crist voters is going to have more deadly consequences ~ not just the loss in 2012.

“They still consider themselves Mexican.”

They are 100% Mexican for paying taxes and all the other liabilities that come with being a productive tax-paying U.S. citizen.

But when it comes to free medical care and EBT cards and housing assistance and other benefits, they are red-blooded Americans, just in need of a little boost.

That’s how Amnesty works. That’s how it will always work. No Mexican is going to willingly pay taxes (they are the only ones who have a choice). If Americans could become Mexicans and avoid all the liabilities that comes with providing all freebies to anyone and everyone, I suspect a lot of them would.

Rubio is just another Obama - spreading the wealth around.

They seem to be slow learners.

You got that right! And some of the slowest of learners are the Republican primary voters who keep splitting their votes among various "conservatives" only to wind up with non-conservatives time and time again.

First comes the legalization. Then come the measures to secure the border. And then comes the process of permanent residence.”

Its hard to imagine how he gets it that completely backwards.

Secure the border. Enforce the law. Let the chips fall.

This isn't rocket surgery.

I regret to inform Rubio that legalizing illegals is not necessary since there is no more America. It’s now called DemoLiberia. There are no so-called illegals anymore. They’re now called the Democrat electoral base. And for for RINO’s as well.

Just one more example that the Republican party no longer exists. What we have now is a RINO party. We have the Democrats I and Democrats II. Seriously, what the hell is the difference? Rubio talks just like a ‘rat.

Rubio is just obeying the instructions of his funding source. In other words, he’s obeying the orders of them who paid for his election campaign (and the next).

I’m amused that people are surprised that another sneaking lawyer fooled them.

BTW, my Cuban in-laws saw through this character from the beginning. I just needed to see: lawyer + corporate financing + slick = deceitful.

Fortunately a lot of people are beginning to realize that handsome + soothing words + “R” does NOT = honest.

Limbaugh, Hannity & Levin will not come denounce because they have more knowledge of the issue than most people.

For openers what Rubio is talking about is simply allowing the illegals to stay legally IF THEY REGISTER for the start of the process. It does NOT give them citizenship, green card (permanent resident visa) or ANY MONETARY BENEFITS.

What we have now is much worse. No one knows who is here, who has jobs, who is collecting benefits illegally, who is voting illegally, who is collecting welfare illegally, etc. ONLY WAY TO FIND OUT is for the illegals to come out of shadows and REGISTER.

Then it is a 13 year wait to acquire citizenship IF THEY PAY THE FINE, CAN SUPPORT THEMSELVES, HAVE NO CRIMINAL RECORD. They get NO MONETARY benefits for 13 years.

So obviously Rush, Sean & Mark are a whole bunch smarter and understand the issues than many posters.

I don’t single out nationalities, and there is one race, the race of man. I refer to those who put anything hyphenated before American.

MEXICAN CLAIMS ON US TERRITORY

In that May 3rd speech Obama gave before the Mexican Anthropological Museum in which he blamed America for the violence in Mexico I believe he went even futhur. There’s a inference but never referenced by name to the Gasden purchase and border settlements US made with Mexico where Obama hinted he seems to side with the Mexican claims. Would those in attendence share that view is a question that should be asked, because I believe they would,.he does.

The Mexicans have been getting most favorable treatment above the rest of our neighbors both north and south. They’re permitted to cross our borders and enter illegally and are allowed access to rights of citizenship (with the exception of voting which if the democrat party regains control over the House will happen) other nationals entering this country don’t get.

Also by allowing Mexicans to do this any quota ration for immigration from other south and central American countrys are taken up by Mexicans while that country is laying claim to a large chunk of our sovereign territory.

We are already seeing the result of this in certain areas claimed by the Mexicans. Their national flag (standard) gets displayed over ours. Where there is a controlling number of Mexican nationals (illegals). It’s displayed over certain institutions particularly schools accompanied by riots and disturbances. Blacks are threatend by Mexicans in certain sections of citys in those areas. We’re courting trouble by not placing a value on our sovereignty and our citizenship.

Worse yet if a US citizen goes into Mexico never mind illegaly but legally. They’ll get 2nd class treatment. Land ownership in title is prohibited period. And there are a slew of regulations they must comply with. Which doesn’t apply to a citizen of Mexico.

By not insisting on reciprocity particularly on those who have entered this country illegally we’re offering no incentive for assimilation and we’re not easing the burden for our fellow citizens who for what ever reason decided to live in Mexico.
