[”They wanted to make sure that it was handled in a way whereby when other cases came behind it that were similar, that they would be treated in a consistent way,” the lawmaker said.]
They were treated “in a consistent way.” They were unmercifully harassed and their applications were delayed—some have remained frozen to this day. IRS agents sought the identity of donors and attempted to gather the identity of everyone with any connection to each group. Individuals were audited and some were harassed by other federal agencies like OSHA and ATF. “Conservative Republican” my keester.

Yep, Cummings is the Rat in the investigative committee, the point Man, he has been given his Marching orders. It's beyond comical at this point, but that doesn't stop Roto Rooters from trying.
I'm sure said person, if he exists, is living in a grand Villa in a Country with no extradition.

Considering how quickly some have turned on the guy
claiming to be the NSA leaker, I think a lot of conservatives are that stupid.

His story does not add up. The BS meter is off the scale.
So, perhaps you're right. Some people claiming to be conservative, can be that stupid.

A U.S. Internal Revenue Service manager, who described himself as a conservative Republican, told congressional investigators that he and a local colleague decided to give conservative groups the extra scrutiny that has prompted weeks of political controversy.

My only suspicion about the guy is that he may not be the leaker at all. He could be someone trotted out there by Obama to destroy the whole story but I'm smart enough to watch and see what happens.
I'm not stupid enough to just drop the story and move along considering what we have seen republicans admit and what we know.

They also have Cummings and Rangel using talking points that it all came out of Cincinnati. What do these two have in common? Don’t question them you rasist.

Did this so called "Conservative Republican" get a big promotion or bonus for the scrutiny?

I think the wheels are coming off the train.
Not at all. The Dems have a game plan and are playing hard ball here. This is part of it.
What exactly is the GOP action plan? I don’t see it. They have done nothing but hold a debate club meeting. Cummings and the Dims are running circles around Issa and Camp. Boehner has been almost completely MIA on the IRS.

...he manager said he and an underling set aside "Tea Party" and "patriot" groups that had applied for tax-exempt status because the organizations appeared to pose a new precedent that could affect future IRS filings. The precedent was already set by Ubama's myriad "community organizing" groups.
ACORN was a 501(c) for crying out loud, and ACORN was about nothing but politics.

Two things: If this “Conservative Republican” really does exist outside of the imagination of Mr. Cummings, why would he use the IRS to target his friends? Also, if he really does exist, why on Earth would Mr. Cummings believe him? In other words, when has he EVER believed a conservative Republican in the past?

Maybe he is, maybe he isn’t.
But, the issue is not the leaker. Have you considered that?
I’m sick of liberals changing the subject. I don’t give a krap what woo-hoo they put out there, I don’t care if Reagan himself returned from the dead claiming to be the leaker.
The leaker is NOT the issue.
Our rights are being violated. Period.

In an official interview transcript released on Sunday by Democratic Representative Elijah Cummings LOL... show us the video of the interview... give us a name and face to go along with this please. Has this person been fired for doing all this damage on his own... or has he been promoted in exchange for this "startling revelation"?
