MOORE, Okla. (AP) -- Authorities say looters have come from as far away as New York and Virginia to steal from victims of last month's tornado in Moore, Okla.
The Oklahoman reports ( http://bit.ly/18UQjGJ ) that police arrested one man from Elmhurst, N.Y., and two from Virginia on misdemeanor complaints of stealing copper wire, scrap metal and other items from homes destroyed by the May 20 tornado. Twenty-four people were killed.....

After Ike hit Houston, the HPD said that looters would be shot on sight. There was no looting.
I am in my sixties and have witnessed a horrific degradation of the American culture in my lifetime. It is what it is, though, it is certainly interesting....and a good time to be old.
Too bad they don’t show the same industry and initiative with respect to honest work.
The people of Moore are mostly Republican and law biding. It’s NOT Chicago or some liberal city... Why would you think people who follow the law would kill looters?

There’s always some... but balance it against the hundreds and thousands that pitched in to help out and donated time, money, and supplies. I think the balance is tipped way to the good.

I was thinking about people protecting THEIR OWN property. And yes I do think, after all they’ve been through, they’d shoot them.
Is there any aspect of the moochers' lifestyles that is not subsidized?
I bet there are those who follow such disasters to defraud the federal relief funding cash cow by making false claims and such behavior. I bet they are organized and know exactly how to game the system.
