Careful with the broad brush. At least some of the French are visibly pushing back against the gay agenda and even against the spread of Islam (see: "Génération Identitaire") . Personally, I don't care if they want to protect their language and cuisine; I consider those to be the actions of a culture that still possesses a sense of identity and self-worth.
I do care that they want to maintain and preserve their language and cuisine; they are the essence and the soul of a national identity. To not understand that is to be a barbarian, not very different in attitude, than the Huns at the gates of Rome.
