The video above is visual proof to the importance of the Second Amendment and the right to protect yourself with a firearm.
On March 11, a nursing school in Thailand was attacked in the early morning hours by 12 masked men wielding machetes. The nursing school is an all female institution for local 15- and 16-year-old girls in the Buriram Province. It is believed the motivation behind the attack was to lower moral and intimidate the all female institution.
As you can see in the video above, the group of 12 men approach the school in the bed of a pick up truck. As the female students start to flee, an administrator armed with a handgun emerges from the building sending all 12 assailants fleeing in various directions.
None of the students were hurt in the attack but three of the attackers ended up in local hospitals. Authorities were able to arrest the attackers who needed emergency care – the translation is unclear as to whether those attackers were wounded by gunfire or other means. The authorities were also able to identify the license plate of the pick up truck. An investigation is underway to detain the rest of the attackers involved, all of whom are believed to be teenagers hired by a larger organizer.

Thailand has a very small number of Muslims. If they simply kept to themselves....no one would say much. The problem is that they want intimidation to exist, and people to back down. When you finally get a Thai angry enough....they just don’t back down....they double up on determination.
That “small number” has been causing a lot of deaths. Especially in the south.

Interesting in that the province is in the southeast of the main body of Thailand, adjacent to their border with Cambodia. So while this might have been a Muslim deal, it just as likely could have been a protection racket.
12 Men Attack Thai School – Security Guard With Gun Handles the Situation
So did the 12 men attack security guards that had gun handles? Did the 12 mean attack with gun handles? Why is a gun handle so dangerous?
Well I’d say the security guard’s “protection” certainly made a lot more racket than the machetes.

The Muslims are concentrated in the south, where they are a local majority. The South Thailand insurgency appears aimed to grab control of those Muslim regions and likely make them part of Muslim Malaysia
Most likely objective of the insurgency is to get control of the offshore oil and gas deposits
It’s standard practice for Muslims to attack girls’ schools. They don’t believe that girls should be educated. It could be something else, but I’m not sure why a protection racket would attack a bunch of schoolgirls.
