I discouraged my son from considering the military. It pains me too, having done a career in the Air Force, but it's not the same organization now.

It pains me too, having done a career in the Air Force, but it's not the same organization now. Being retired Air Force myself, it gives me no pleasure to discourage him, but I could not encourage him, and still have any self respect left.
