Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians.
Techo-idiocy, above and beyond the appalling Constitutional issues here.

Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians. Since when was catching terrorists the goal?

They couldn’t stop the underwear bomber when his own father warned us.
The father of the American woman killed in Syria also claims he called the FBI to tell them about her scam marriage, radicalization, and tried to have her passport taken away. Thank God she chose to die there rather than here.
If they were really interested in protecting us they would seal our borders and pick and choose who comes in. If they can watch all of us they can damn sure protect our borders.

If only the Russians had called them on Verizon (sarcasm).
If the feds wanted to stop these terrorist acts the first thing they'd do is not let terrorist wannabees in the US from Chechnya and such.

Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians. They are not interested in stopping Muslims. They are focused on stopping the Tea Party. Get with the program.

Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians. They were so busy using the info to go after Obama's political enemies they just flat out didn't have the time for trivialities like looking for actual terrorists.

Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians. These systems are not designed for that purpose. They are designed to tarted "domestic" terrorists (read teabaggers). Mooslimes are exempt.

They would have had to consider the bombers as the enemy - which they didn’t.

Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers ...
That could lead some to think perhaps this isn’t about catching people as much as it is tracking and controlling people...which of course is the case.

Having the information and doing something about it are two different things entirely.
Plenty of people in Colorado knew that James Holmes was a complete nutter, including people at the University of Colorado who were responsible for security, but they didn't do anything....

Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians. I have a hard time believing they "couldn't" stop them. They were looking to not let a good crisis go to waste.

"Yet with all this info, they could not stop the Boston bombers - with a tip from the Russians." 2 warnings from Russia and 1 from Saudi.
There were warnings from international intelligence about the shoe and underwear bombers, but they were waved through airport security by Fed officials. That shows the Feds want a pretext to do more surveillance across an ever growing spectrum of what was previously free markets.
Fast and Furious data confiscation...
