That is very much the truth. Frees up considerable memory, too. I have some very old laptops -- oldest is 1999 -- that I keep running using Linux just as a hobby. Without ad blockers, script blockers, do-not-track add-ons they would be pretty useless for browsing most commercial websites. With the blockers they are still slow, obviously, but quite usable.
My brother was on board with computers when the first ones were released...I think using DOS..but I am really ignorant of computer lingo. At any rate he has computers still running that are old as well...and loves them. He’s always complaining what a “dog” Microsoft is and Interenet Explorer...as well as others.
Almost 1,500 trackers blocked by Abine so far....in just four or five days....and amazing how much better my computer operates.things have gotten much better since I’m using that to block this cude.
