I think Mr Douglas needs to ask himself why he was happy to handle guns in his pathetic movies to make money. As long as it filled his wallet and that of his creepy sons it was okay.
He has lived a comfy life surrounded by security, now that he has come close to the end he wants our rights taken away. I hope the Lord has mercy on him, he will need it.
