Hmmm hmmm hmmm.

I hope more and more whistleblowers come forward about all manner of crimes committed by the fedgov.

And then I hope they organize themselves and Do Something About It.

Firsthand experience with these systems, and horror at their capabilities, is what drove a career intelligence officer to provide PowerPoint slides about PRISM and supporting materials to The Washington Post in order to expose what he believes to be a gross intrusion on privacy. “They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type,” the officer said.

Why does this sound like the plot of a television series?

Oh...maybe because it is?

The truth is even scarier than fiction

I don’t have a problem with this if the data analysis stays strictly within the walls of the NSA where individual identities are automatically isolated and replaced with volatile, anonymous keys throughout the process of analysis. Suspect patterns of non-anonymous data would then require warrants prior to inter-agency exposure. Each cooperating company could provide the keyed anonymity ahead of time if necessary. The goal is threat determination.

It makes sense to analyze the information and determine patterns of aggression directed at the Constitution and its beneficiaries.

I tend to trust the defense agencies, but I believe the privilege of having uncommon access should be accompanied by uncommon consequences for Constitutional abuse and violations — something that wouldn’t be a problem for honorable, Constitutionally minded civil servants.

“They quite literally can watch your ideas form as you type,” the officer said.

This is why when I type I think about totally unrelated things, so no one can watch my ideas form. For example, while I was typing this sentence, instead of thinking about the content of this sentence, the idea I had was to clean the litter box before I go to bed so I don't wake up to any surprises in the living room tomorrow morning.

By using this method I prevent them from watching my ideas form as I type, rendering their surveillance moot.

There is no such thing unless you become a mountain man or desert hermit, or otherwise remove yourself from civilization.

You might enjoy this thread when you get home. The twitter people have started trending hashtag #theNSAcalledtotellme

Some of these are hysterical. Omarxist and his regime hate internet ridicule, so LOL.

Who leaked this information that will continue the destabilization of this country and increase the distrust of our government?

First name starts with a V, and the last name starts with Putin.

Think about it.

This PRISM business personally spooks me for more than one reason. I used to work in a secure building near DC where the PRISM logo was displayed on a large wall plaque. It was in an area that I did not have access to but I could see into through some glass doors. This was circa 2008-2009. I never saw a soul enter or exit that area, but we had a lot of server farms in that building, so it wasn't really uncommon for there to be no regular traffic in or out.

So now I know what it is. Brrr!

Anyone know if PRISM is an acronym? What does it stand for?

This long chain of recent weekly “scandals” are a diversion from the real Presidency killer, the Benghazi debacle....
