Wiki shows 2.5 Million Christians

I stand corrected. I was never in Syria though I visited the Golan Heights many times and gazed across no man's land into Syria. The persecution of Christians in the Middle East is one of the tragedies of our time.

No prob. It’s surprising, but Syria, Iraq, and Egypt all had very large Christian communities. Egypt was at least 10% at one time, and that’s a lot of people there. Under Mubarak it was not a very place for them, but they got by, but was getting worse by the year. Iraq and Syria, as far as I can tell, pretty much had a deal with the Christians, which was they stay out of each other’s way. No one made their women wear burkas or anything else there, and if a Christian called the police because of Jihad attack, they got a quick response. Those days are over in Iraq, leaving Syria as pretty much it for Christians, other than Lebanon and Israel.
