The very first vote I cast was for Ronald Reagan, and I was proud to do it. Can't say I've felt proud of voting for anybody on a Presidential/Vice Presidential ticket, save Sarah Palin, since.

It seems like a lifetime ago, it seems like yesterday. Rest in peace, Mr. President.

Me too.

We should be thankful that we got to see one of very last "national" great ones. From here on out, it's all about whatever the individual/family/ community can sustain of Judeo-Christian values.

My first vote was for Reagan too. Sadly, I wasn’t politically aware, and voted for him because he seemed kind, humorous, and quick witted. The second time I voted for him, I had just become a mother and believed he was making a safer world for my little girl.
