Rush is joking about Christie running for the Democrat presidential nomination. I think Limbaugh sees Christie running for the GOP nomination as the 'bi-partisan, moderate' candidate the RNC always tell us are the only possible Republican candidates that can defeat a Democrat in the presidential race. We see how well that worked out with Romney in '12 and McCain in '08. Never again.
So if the Hefty One decides to run as a demoncrap then the media won’t make any issue of his weight...
