Firing them is the right thing to do. Their bosses should go to prison.
Once you enter into a legal situation...like an EEO complaint....you can stay at home and get paid while they spend weeks and months investigating the whole mess. I would make a guess that on any given day in DC....within the district....there must be 200 people on such leave.
