From a planning perspective, it would appear that she got some bad advice..Given her age, unless, she's planning on giving it all to charity..there's a little thing called ESTATE taxes that will come into play in a few years.
Assuming she has family..kids..grandkids...who would inherit..far better to say that a bunch of them shared in the ticket..they'd each get a check..
