BIG APPLE BUCKS: Morse Tells Post He Hopes Bloomberg Sends Some More Money (Colo gun grabber)
Colorado Peak Politics ^ | June 4, 2013

Senate President John Morse isn’t hiding his budding bromance with New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg anymore ... Morse openly declares his fervent hope that Bloomberg rides to the rescue with some more cold hard cash for his recall defense campaign.

He’ll need it after recall organizers turned in over 16,000 signatures, compared to the only 13,866 votes Morse received in his last election in 2010.

Any Bloomberg bucks would be in addition to the at least $20,000 Morse’s recall defense campaign has already taken from Bloomberg-backed America Votes.

So, out of State influences. That should be noted publicly against him that he is taking money from New York City....”get a rope”.

The Bloomberg-backed America Votes has given at least $20,000 so far to the pro-Morse group, with much more likely to be exposed when the pro-Morse group files their final reports.

Colorado Ping ( Let me know if you wish to be added or removed from the list.)

The CO SoS is a Republican looking to be re-elected. If some sigs are invalid they’ll be declared so, this recall is going forward.

Local Colorado businesses have donated over $71,000 to his recall effort. Local businesses are solidly behind this recall effort.

The recall effort gathered about 222% of the needed signatures. Morse either resigns or there will be an election.

He is damaged. I'll be real surprised if he gets anything but a boot in the butt from Bloomberg now. He will be told to shut up and resign so another Dem can be appointed to replace him. At least he has his picture of Obama and himself to keep and treasure.

The signatures will be reviewed by employees, who flyspeck these things. Assuming they had competent circulators, this number of signatures should sail through, however.

"Not needed. The CO SOS will declare the signatures on the petition invalid."

Colorado Doug's comment #7 under "Recall Sen. Morse Petition Signatures Have Been Filed With The Colorado Secretary Of State Today!" a couple of days ago:
"They won't be able to weasel out of this. This was a very well run recall. (hat's off to the organizers) The signatures were verified in real time as they signed."

Thanks to Colorado Doug.

I am not aware of Angela’s recall effort. Do you have a URL? I’m not in the district but I might be able to help.
