This is actually a developing trend in the New York area.
Is the trend being ultra orthodox or orthodox behaving badly?
IF the story is correct and it is THE “Yeshiva of Flatbush”, it is definitely NOT ‘ultra-orthodox’ (whatever that means). This would be ‘Modern Orthodox’, as liberal as can be and still claim to be ‘orthodox’.
I’m sure that you are not aware that these kids are MODERN ORTHODOX, not “ultra-Orthodox Jews”. I don’t know to which type of “trend” you refer as developing in New York—rowdy teenagers or being an “ultra-Orthodox” Jew. And, BTW, what does it matter whether they were Jewish students, Amish students, or purple students? Why did you feel a need to especially point out that they were Jews? Do we offend you in some manner? Go pound sand.
