Not sure I can feel your pain on that one. My parents had pickups because the roads were too bad for a car and pickups at the time didn’t have club cabs so we always lapped up or kids rode in the back if we all went somewhere together. I didn’t feel slighted by that- when my parents went to town they took one or two of us and the rest of us had to stay home and do chores. It is just how it was and I never thought twice about it.
I thought that many boomers hadn't done sufficient retirement planning, had to continue working, didn't see an end in sight, which led to depression and suicide. Some of them thought that the '80's would last forever.
