I can get HFCS from GMO corn. I can get HFCS from non-GMO corn. I challenge you to find any study that finds different rates of obesity.
Food additives and GMOs are two different subjects, unless the subject of the discussion has morphed from the alleged health effects of GMOs into that of overall dietary purity.
