380 dollars/month for 3 or 4 kids(for many pro life families) who may make barely 50000 dollars a year gross(before crushing state, local taxes... though their out right federal taxes might be small). I see you have no grasp on what many lower middle class Christian families have to live on.
To be honest though the situation regarding education in this country is reflexive of this nations overall fall into immorality and can only be righted by a massive change of hearts in the country as a whole. Judgment has fallen and it is hitting the unrighteous as well as the unrighteous alike in this nation unfortunately.
A territorial balkanization of this nation may be the best the righteous in sections of this country can hope for...though the standards of living may fall for a time..
I was not commenting on the availability only the expenditure as it relates to an option (they also give full scholarships to those like you describe). It is no easy expense for us either but we choose to for go many things. No new cars until absolutely needed (and then either used or a bare bones model), no new furniture or housewares/appliances, no eating out but once or twice a month max and those are a a cheapo place, and no vacations other than short weekend drive aways for over 6 years now.
We basically do nothing but work and live at our kids schools volunteering or watching them do something. That coupled with some medical rehab bills for a child with a tbi I venture to say I don’t have much.
The thing is, the public school systems worked reasonably well until the 1960’s when the progressives worked to separate the country’s citizens from their heritage and banned the expression of the nation’s religious heritage thru our schools.
Increasingly secularized world views being expressed thru the media have had devastating effects on the mind sets of the public, especially on our young. The nation has a spiritual problem and even if massive revival occurred now, I don’t think we would escape without some type of spanking or judgment. The spilled blood of 50 million aborted infants cries out to God and the willful corruption of our living children with unspeakable exposures to atheism, fornication , drugs and homosexuality is a mill stone that may just draw us down into the depths of history, never to surface again!
