For such a tiny country, Estonia always seems to be doing interesting things.
spent a bit of time in tallinn running a small company.
the people are conservative and very nice.
i miss the beer house... otherwise, the food wasn’t so great. ‘rock’ beer was my favorite canned beer i’d get from the supermarket across the street.
i was known as the ‘crazy American’ as i worked 7am - 11pm, 6 days a week.
a good place to get stuff done.
Just got back from Talinn, Estonia....CHARMING place!!
This is my very first post on Free Republic. I have long been a lurker and come here to read for my sanity.
I wanted to share some Estonia information since it was my Father in laws homeland.
There is a very good documentary called the Singing Revolution that tells the story of how they stood up and sang their way to a free people.
My husband was able to visit the family property and the country is beautiful. The people are very resilient!
Ive always been impressed that their expats keep up their culture and language as well as they do...well into the second generation.
The Finns are very smart and how much different can the Estonians be?
