President Obama, speaking earlier today at conference on mental health at the White House:
"There are other people who are leading by example. My great friend, Patrick Kennedy, when he was running for reelection back in 2006, he could have avoided talking about his struggles with bipolar disorder and addiction. Let’s face it, he’s a Kennedy," said Obama.
After the audience stopped laughing, Obama continued, "He was -- his seat was pretty safe. Everybody loved him. And yet, Patrick used his experience as a way to connect and to lift up these issues, not hide from them."
And one day, a woman came up to Patrick at a senior center and told him she was afraid to tell her friends she was taking medication for a mental illness because she was worried they might treat her differently. She told Patrick, “You’re the only one who knows aside from my son.”

The thought process that goes into thinking that having a mentally ill individual serving in the government is a good thing is incredible.

If you tie it in to Obamacare, the government can use your 'mental health' to take things away from you, like the 2nd Amendment, the 1st Amendment, the right to reproduce.
This is not some benign campaign aimed at the public good.

Obama is subtly making fun of Patrick Kennedy in order to make himself look good. It’s what Biff did to George Mcfly in Back To The Future, but both Biff and Obama are still A-holes who prey on others in order to feel better about themselves.
Any moron thinking is a wise choice to elect a person suffering BiPolar disorder should be strapped into a chair Clockwork Orange style and forced to watch video of the life of a person thus afflicted.
Having an close family member with it, I can speak from experience that no, you do not want that person helping to manage the affairs of a country. Control of the disorder can only go so far. And requires brain altering chemicals. Sometimes several. In quantity.

I think his motive is pathetically obvious. A Malignant Narcissist cannot stand criticism under any circumstances. The fact that even the MSM has noticed Obama’s many scandals has him in half white-hot anger, half unadulterated self pity mode. In his worldview there is but one explanation for all this ‘unfair’ criticism: his skin color.
So he looks out across the political landscape, & he spots a lily white pol who, in Obama’s mind, wd get a pass on almost anything. He points this out in the indirect way most suited to his passive aggression, but in his mind the contrast is still blindingly obvious. I.e.: Let’s face it; if I were a Kennedy I wd not be targeted for all these penny ante ‘scandals’.
“Bipolar disorder” - If I had a dime for every drug addict/alcoholic who used that BS excuse for their addiction I would make Bill Gates and Warren Buffett combined look like paupers. You want to see someone who is *really* bipolar, take a look at Mel Gibson. That is true bipolar disorder.
And despite all of Ted Kennedy’s flaws as a miserable leftist politician, philanderer, alcoholic, and all around rotten guy, Obama is worse.

Exactly, you want to talk about a disordered Kennedy, an out of control Obama IRS, an out of control Obama Justice Dept, and out of control Obama Homeland Security, I could go on, but I’d go with the out of control Kennedy. Everyone understands that.
