Posted on 06/01/2013 7:08:49 PM PDT by servo1969
Yesterday, Stephanie Cutter, Deputy campaign manager for President Barack Obamas 2012 reelection campaign, appeared on Jake Tappers show The Lead on CNN.
During the segment Stephanie Cutter admitted she had attended meetings with then IRS Chief Douglas Shulman at the White House:
A couple of facts here that I think are important for us to stick by, number one, the only reason we know about these visits is because the president makes everything public. Number two, what were really looking at some of these visits What we are looking at the number of times that Mr. Shulman was cleared into the White House. It doesnt necessarily mean he went to a meeting. Number three, many of those meetings were for healthcare implementation. I was in them with him. So theres nothing nefarious going on.

Just so I am getting the jackpot right....she is a campaign manager meeting with this POS IRS lead and why would a campaign manager meet with the IRS head unless it were to discuss targeting of GOP?
This BS still doesn’t explain 159 visits.
So the question under oath to the IRS head is “At this meeting with the Deputy campaign manager did you discuss target of any groups”
Outright political warfare. Not that I expected anything less from Obama. The Chicago Way can be a b!tch at times.
I am still facinated by the fact that Lois Lane Lerner stated she was pleading the fifth to keep from incriminating other people. First, you cannot plead the fifth to protect others...it is for "self" incrimination, or a spouse, and second, by saying this she is admitting she knows others have committed "incriminating" (criminal) offense.
She said it...plain as day...yet no one cares or picked up on the statement.
Sure they did. That is why she has to go back to Congress and submit to more testimony.
The deputy campaign manager attends 100s of WH meetings on policy (Zerocare implementation)? I don’t think so. Shulman was a Zero donor (nice going, Bipartisan RINOs who recommended him to GWB for the job).
Tie this in with S’s wife S Anderson. And ....
How many times did Shulman meet with David Axelrod, Robert Bauer. Was Shulman’s wife present at many of the meetings. Did they also meet at Caribou Coffee on 1700 Penn.
Cutter wasn’t a campaign manager yet. She was a top Obama political hack working on implementing Obamacare at the time of the meetings. She had Obama’s ear in all this.
I sure hope so...
“The president keeps everything public..” As if this were some extra perk that this administration has bestowed upon us!
But it signals the beginning of a campaign strategy by 0bama to negate the Tea Party’s influence on the 2012 election.. I remember asking “Where the hell is the Tea Party?” leading up to the election.. Little did I know they were hog tied and silenced by 0bama via the IRS, with the DOJ raiding Republican donor Gibson Guitar at gunpoint, etc.. In retrospect, this has 0bama written all over it and is reminiscent of his past as a candidate in Chicago.
"Of course, its hard to get proof of coordination when the meetings didnt take place. It turns out that Garance Franke-Ruta, a rather industrious writer at The Atlantic, bothered to sift through all of the documents in order to determine that actually, former IRS Commissioner Douglas Shulman signed in for 11 visits, not 157, between 2009 and 2012 "
I wonder...Schulman would have disputed such an exaggerated count you would think..
So it was a coordinated targeted attack using government agencies to commit voter intimidation
They were planning Easter egg hunts, case closed.
Don’t forget Valerie Jarrett. I’m STILL waiting for her name to come up in Congress. You KNOW she was involved in this.
the only reason we know about these visits is because the president makes everything public.
Bwahahahahha Is she shytting me??
Everything public. Give me a damned break. Who is this lying sack of crap?
Obama’s deputy campaign manager: We expect truth from her?. Not me baby.
Stick this lie up your butt lady.
Smells like BS. The Washington Compost would already have awarded 1,000 Pinocchios to the GOP if there were only 11 visits.
Just looking for goodies in the tall grass of the tax code.
“I wonder...Schulman would have disputed such an exaggerated count you would think.. “
He couldn’t dispute it. He just got done testifying that they had to lead him to his office every day cause he couldn’t remember how to find it.
Someone correct me, but if the deputy campaign manager is there, the president can’t claim executive privilege. Campaign manager is not a member of the white house staff.
Drag those stooges Lerner & Shulman back up to Capitol Hill and let Gowdy smack them around some more.
This should be the lead on Drudge.
They were all involved in this, but nothing is going to happen because the GOP hasn’t got the stones to do what it takes.
This isn't the Chicago way, it's the Berlin way. These buttheads are following the National Socialist party of Germany's battle plan, circa 1930-1935.. Watch the parallels.
Note the date of Baldwin's column is April 21, 2010, and the organization providing these 40 names has a long history. How are the facts contained in this article relevant to the IRS, Homeland Security, ATF, etc., etc. efforts at intimidation of conservative groups?
Please read and pass on through your own lists.
Drop “political”. Outright warfare.
This has potentially cost lives. For an example close to home here at FR, check this:
This is what 3rd world dictators do to get elected. I’m surprised Obama didn’t get 96% of the vote.
ABSOLUTELY she is the center of this targeting of the TEA party and any other GOP that got in her way. I agree with you. When are others going to start making her accountable and why does she have 24/7 Secret Service protection.
Did SHE or zippy order the wretched Department of Homeland Security to have snipers and armed personnel at the TEA Party IRS protests. Snipers were spotted on roofs near the St. Louis office. This is sick stuff. Talk about intimidation. She said she will get even and get revenge on anyone that didn't agree with them. Isn't that special. Dems think it's great.
In the end, the entire scandal with the IRS points to possibly four persons: President Barack Obama, Senior Advisor to the President Valerie Jarrett, former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel, and former Secretary of the Treasury Tim Geithner. These four may have conspired to create the plan to use the IRS to harass political opponents, and the plan was implemented under Geithner’s guidance with former IRS Chairman Doug Shulman.
I am not sure this is a big deal. Cutter worked in the White House and has had a bunch of staff jobs.
I am more interested in the flat out lies in her interview. Like saying the kenyan “make everything public”. His personal guests to the White Hut DO NOT go in the WH logbook. What Cutter said is flat not true and she knows that. They tell these lies expecting nobody to call them out on them.
< This isn’t the Chicago way, it’s the Berlin way. These buttheads are following the National Socialist party of Germany’s battle plan, circa 1930-1935.. Watch the parallels. >
It’s only a matter of time before an enterprising journalist lays out all these parallels. If you run across it before i do, I’d appreciate a heads up and I’ll do the same.
There are most definitely a significant number of Democrat / leftist operative plants within the GOP. Don't doubt this for a second. There is a pattern. Oppose major Democrat legislative efforts only when the votes are already there for the Democrats. When needed, ‘cross the aisle’ in an oh so reasonable bipartisan manner. When conservatives / Republicans start getting upset about the lack of faithfulness to conservative principles, act like a true conservative on some issues, just to avoid suspicion. If conservatives can no longer be swayed / fooled, only then is it time to change party.
“They were planning Easter egg hunts, case closed.”
Yes, it was a planned “hunt”... a hunt for Christians, conservative donors, and of course the Tea Party peeps.
So, the translation of what he said is... I was planning to crucify the Tea Party ....
You got it. However, NOTHING is going to come from such. We have NO justice - We are a banana republic.
Wrong. Trey Gowdy(R-SC) picked up on it big time. Then Issa picked up on what Trey was saying.
Go watch it on youtube. Search Trey Gowdy.
THE BIG QUESTION: What business did his campaign have in the implementation of Obamacare?
It was the Marxist's call.
Yep...I know they got it...send me a link to a thread where FR folks got it & discussed it and I will apologize for thinking you were rude for beginning your response with "Wrong".
I might have dropped out of Harvard but I did pick up some social congeniality during the drunken Frat orgies.
“It was the Marxist’s call. “
A Friday night admission of criminal conduct so they can say it is old news on Monday.
Not going to work. If she is admitting this now, the truth must be devastating.
Criminal indictments are necessary so that those people will name him.
He has to be impeached.
George W. Bush was the stupid, naive idiot who kept Shulman on to bring a “new tone” to Washington.
Just saw a notice for a new book from Princeton University Press about the Tea Party, by two academics (Christopher S. Parker and Matt A. Barreto), Change they can't believe in: The Tea Party and Reactionary Politics in America.
Their basis premise seems to be that the Tea Party is not some innocent group but "chilling" and in a direct line from other bad movements in American history such as the Know-Nothings and the Ku Klux Klan of the 1920s. A blurb from someone at Stanford said "this timely, important work deserves the widest audience possible."
The control freak was probably directing the IRS assault on conservatives...
In an administration not known for its embrace of outsiders, Ms. Cutter managed to become a trusted aide to both Michelle Obama, whom she worked for in 2008 and in the White House, and Mr. Obama, who pleaded with her to take West Wing and campaign jobs.
Ms. Cutter previously worked for President Bill Clinton and Senator Harry Reid of Nevada, as well as for Edward M. Kennedy, quickly becoming a trusted Kennedy family confidante.
Her bright career was almost derailed in 2004, though, after Senator John Kerrys failed presidential bid. Ms. Cutter, who had been the campaigns communications chief
In 2010, Ms. Cutter was tapped to help the White House sell health care reform, and the next year she stepped into an advisory role in the West Wing, arriving at a time when even the president admitted the administrations message was not being communicated effectively. She quickly developed a reputation as the polished, sometimes scarily organized strategist who gets things done, compared with Mr. Axelrods reputation as a charming but shambling personality who was widely blamed for dropping the ball on White House communication.
While working for the president, Ms. Cutter played a key part in developing the We Cant Wait campaign, an effort to pass economic policy by executive order that paints Congressional gridlock as standing in Mr. Obamas way.
She has a tight-knit group of like-minded friends, including the MSNBC political analyst Karen Finney; Alyssa Mastromonaco, White House deputy chief of staff; and Julianna Smoot, the Democratic fund-raiser and former White House social secretary
Ms. Cutter, who is single, lives in a rented apartment on Chicagos Gold Coast
Friends said she is as direct in offering relationship and fashion advice as she is in advising Mr. Obama and the other politicians shes worked for.
When Ms. Smoot, a fellow Smith graduate who is also a deputy campaign manager, was named White House social secretary, Ms. Cutter helped her buy a new wardrobe. Shed say, Yeah, that color isnt working or Why dont you not wear that shirt anymore?, but shes careful not to hurt peoples feelings, Ms. Smoot said.
