Disgusting. Moronic police. The shopkeeper and local people should fight this.

Agreed. I’d tell the officer politely to sod off. Then let him or her decide their course of action.

As an aside I bet he sells out of these shirts before close of business Monday.

Britain/UK is a state made up of England, Wales, Scotland and NI. They are countries in their own right within a larger state/union.

“And Great Britain/Britain/UK and England are not the same thing!.”

What’s the difference? I seriously don’t know. Aren’t they all subject to laws passed by the British parliament? If this gentleman were arrested who would ultimately be prosecuting him? If he appealed to the highest court in the land what court would that be?

1—See above, lol.

2—Yes, although NI, Wales and Scotland all have their own parliaments or assemblies to deal with internal policy and laws.

3—He’d be up in front of a Welsh court, which runs on English law (Scotland and NI have their own legal systems, Wales dosent).

4—The new Supreme Court of the United Kingdom, which can supercede Scottish, English and NI law. It runs on legal principles of all three systems.

So ultimately it’s British law that controls then. Correct?

The Supreme Court is only used in a tiny amount of cases. Almost all criminal/legal cases will be dealt with by the ‘regional’ laws. Also the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man have their own legal systems.

America helped Britain, and we thank you for it, but this ‘saved’/’if not for us...’ nonsense is bad history and insults those who (especially British) fought and died in WW2.

Do you honestly believe Briton could have beaten Nazi Germany without direct U.S. intervention?
