And America could never have won the war without Britain.
Neither the US or the UK could win the war alone, or come close to it. So the idea one nation saved the other is nonsense.
And where would both countries have been in Europe and N Africa without the huge number of soldiers from many nations?. Canadians, Aussies, Kiwis, Poles, French, French Empire, Greeks, Indians, South Africans, black Africans, French North Africans, even Brazilians!. Millions of troops from those countries.
It was British ships that landed 79% of all troops on D Day, it was British ships that landed American troops in N Africa, Italy and Sicily, it was RAF planes and RN ships who helped provide air and sea cover for American and allied armies all over NW Europe. Britain provided fuel for several American divisions in NW Europe via the British ‘Red Lion Express’. PLUTO, Mulberry Harbours, specialised tanks and vehicles etc etc....all British.
And it was of course Britain who ran the SOE, supplied the European resistance, and in 1940 gave the US all its nuclear secrets for free. American and allied troops therefore relied on British genius and expertise to outthink the Nazis, even before setting foot on Europe and afterwards.
So without the limeys, Americans could never have even invaded Europe and saved said limeys from Germany!.
Americans also ignore that if we were saved, we were saved by Canada, Australia, NZ and the entire British Empire, from Cyprus and Malta to India and Hong Kong. From SA to Newfoundland. Our biggest supplier of arms and material was not America, as people think, but Canada (who also gave us $6 billion in Canadian Lend Lease ie Mutual Aid). And Britain needed the supplies from all over the Empire, from Malayan rubber to Caribbean food.
America was one of many nations who helped Britain in its hour of need. And we thank you for it, we do, and it should never be forgotten. But if Americans truly believe they saved Britain and Europe singlehanded, I worry about American education and American knowledge. At best, its bad history, at worst its appalling and actually insulting and disrespectful arrogance.
I do, and the reason I can choose to do so, is because of the bravery of the men and women of my own country for six long years, as well as the men and women of many nations, not just America. Thanks for the help but you didnt save Britain alone.

Well, yes, that would make the leftists happy. They would not keep many of us there for long, though, unless they had some sort of means in the prison for allowing us to continue to produce the wealth that they like to redistribute.
I spent a long time trying to find info about this guy’s shop, but I was unsuccessful.
It would be great if a bunch of FReepers bought his shirts.
