I doubt that Jews living east of the Drina under the Nazi-sponsored Serbian "Government of National Salvation" led by the collaborationist Milan Nedić fared any better than their co-religionists in the the "Independent State of Croatia."

Jews in Serbia fared much, much better than those in Croatia. No comparison. Nedic was no Pavelic.

I know Croatian propaganda likes to make that “comparison”, but the Jews of Yugoslavia who survived World War II know better.
