“FOX NEWS: The Department of Health and Human Services has issued regulations for the Affordable Care Act, otherwise known as Obamacare, which allow health insurance companies to raise premiums up to 50% for smokers and up to 30% for overweight individuals—unless they participate in “wellness programs” provided by HHS. “

Wow. Just like the compulsory exercise in “1984”.

Teenage unwed mothers are also a high risk group as far as hypertension, obesity etc down the road,managing gun shot wounds from gangbangers is expensive, there are some places that would meaningly save health insurance/government plans money, but would of course be politically incorrect. Some groups cant be asked to improve their behavior

Just what I've been thinking -- especially now that we actually have the technology to make it real.

Refuse to let them do a bmi.

I know they can manually calculate it but I don’t participate in anything from these jerks.

I am not taking any damn program...I am not a child. The proper response if to tell them to eff themselves.

Time to stand up...or you will never be able to do so again.

At the risk of invoking Godwin's Law:
21. The State must raise the level of national health by means of mother-and-child care, the banning of juvenile labor, achievements of physical fitness through legislation for compulsory gymnastics and sports, and maximum support for all organizations providing physical training for young people.

From this: It Can't Happen Here, Or Can It?

“I’m morbidly obese per BMI but have between 10-13% body fat at any given time. (I am very muscular.)”
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

I’m in a similar category, Saturday will be my 69th and I am six four and weigh just over 250 without clothing. The charts say I should not weigh more than 205 or so maximum but at that weight I would look like a toothpick. At my current weight a 2XL t-shirt fits tightly while my size 38 waist jeans are floppy. I would go down to 36 waist but I kinda like the loose fit. BMI alone means nothing whatsoever, I used to have a higher fat percentage when I was forty years younger and weighed 25 pounds less. The last time I weighed 205 or less I was wearing size 33 pants and they were sliding down, friends used to tell me I had a bad case of “noassatall”.
