I wouldn’t agree to it! That’s “transperancy” Chicago Style.....they may come out of there with concrete boots.
Desperate damage control, and inability to comprehend that holding the hose in the boat at the same time you’re trying to bail out the water is just stupid.
I love this ... LOL

And if the reporters hear the data from another source, they will be inhibited from reporting it, because they will look like they were leaking OTR data. They will also be inhibited from looking for corroboration from other sources, for the same reason.
Meet with him, report what he says- and then say you forget that he ordered you not to, or didn’t hear him, or don’t define “report” the same way he does.
Simple.
Is this why he wants two separate meetings? Holder can say the above when FoxNews isn't there and something different when they are.
are we now listing the designations of old soviet subs?
That’s called tampering with witnesses. It’s illegal, that’s why it’s off the record.
sing the reporter.
“dont define report the same way he does”
They could play his semantics game... “confide” in a friend, an untraceable deep-throat type person.
This suggestes there is a different set of "DOJ Guidelines" for those who are NOT journalists ... they must think there are two different 4th amendments: one for the Journalists and one for us peons.
This administration has gotten away with this stuff for so long that they think that “this is the way things are done”. They know intellectually that they’ve been given a pass by the MSM on everything they’ve done and now they don’t understand why things are different now.
Because if they report his statements from this meeting, it will be used against him in the House Judiciary Committe’s investigation of him perjuring himself before Congress.
But yet he needs the media to carry his water of being persecuted by the mean GOP because he’s the first black US AG, yada yada yada...
I would attend and then report the details of the meeting. My defense would be the same as Holder’s, “I didn’t lie.” If he can claim he did not lie to Congress when it is obvious he did, he’d have not reason to call reporters liars for reporting on the meeting.
So what happens if the entire press corp meets with him and then reports everything he says? He can try to sue them or arrest them but as far as PR goes, that’s disastrous. He can try to bar them from future press conferences but then no one will be there.
