The United Methodists used to have a nice campsite in central PA. Don't know if it is still there.

I read this week due to financial problems, the girl scouts are having to sell their last remaining four camps.

Hey, now they can sell the campgrounds and just use roadside rest stops.

Many camps used by the Scouts are actually leased from various foundations ~ or, the foundations loan them to youth organizations. Several I know of are actually owned by organizations that predate Boy Scouts.

Typically when a Scout troop is dissolved the property owned by its corporation is transferred to the sponsoring institution or another troop. The National Council has little control over the troops ~ it was created for no purpose other than setting standards for training and achievement.
